I’ve been racking my brains as to what to write in my very first post. I mean like, this is it, first impressions all over again. You don’t want to come off as an airhead, neither do you want to come off as some pretentious asshole. The worst would probably be some uptight bitch.
I already came off as an airhead in my ‘test post’ (if you saw it, shut up) so I thought I should try to do some justice to myself haha.

Okay, here goes…

This has been bugging me for awhile but yes, I really think Twitter kills blogging/writing, it really does! Your thoughts are often ‘tweeted’ in less than 140 words, it is summarised so greatly that whatever thought you had at that moment just lives in that one tweet. It does not expand. It pops into your brain, you tweet it and poof, it dies. Just like that.

Its funny how people are always emphasizing on the fact that as the whole world is advancing technologically, it will open more gates for greater communication. Oh look, you can now instantly talk to people living on the other side of the world at the comforts of your own home and all that but it can also be such a burden to us. Trapped in our little worlds in the world wide web, we spend less time with people physically and communication becomes shallow.

Even at work or school or even while traveling to and from places! Nobody says ‘hi, good morning!’ anymore. Everyone is walking around either with their handphones constantly glued to their ears or looking down at their handphones, all the while messaging. Like zombies. Seriously, if you just take a look around while in the MRT or bus on the way to school, you’ll notice that 50% of people are playing/talking on their handphones, 30% sleeping/stoning, 10% just standing/sitting there 10% doing random miscellaneous things like scratching their ass or picking their nose, etc.

I find it quite sad that people are so dependent on technology. Its like nobody cares about thinking anymore. One piece of information/subject/object they are unsure of and they first thing that’ll come to mind is Google.
One day, technology will just fail on us and how do you suppose you’ll live?
